Introduction
The eduLamp - ပညာမီးအိမ် aims to deliver digital learning without the internet. eduLamp has been implementing the Boxes in rural areas with limited or no internet access.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and escalating conflicts in Myanmar, the education sector is currently facing unprecedented challenges resulting in the closure of formal educational institutions. While civil society organizations are providing free online education during this period, the lack of internet access in many rural areas has limited the inclusiveness of online education and perpetuated a cycle of underdevelopment in these regions.
To address this issue, eduLamp - ပညာမီးအိမ် has implemented an innovative approach by introducing the use of eduLamp Boxes in rural areas with limited or no internet access.

What is eduLamp?
The eduLamp Box is simple and user-friendly. Once the box is powered up, learners within a 30-50 feet radius can connect to the local Wi-Fi hotspot that eduLamp distributes. After connecting, learners can access the eduLamp learning management portal through any mobile device browser, which contains all the courses, materials, and assessments. Each eduLamp Box can support up to 30 simultaneous users, allowing learners to study at their own pace together.
For those who do not have access to mobile devices, community-based learning with a projector is an alternative solution. eduLamp understands the importance of providing equal opportunities to all students and the approach is designed to be as inclusive as possible.
